Madison County Emergency Medical District 

The Molly Caren Agricultural Center near London, Ohio is home to the Farm Science Review which attracts around 140,000 visitors annually.

Madison County EMD is one of many agencies who handle public safety during this large scale event. Chief Olwin, as well as other department chiefs, spend numerous hours preparing for this event, to ensure safety of all guests.

The district makes available an ambulance and gator to handle all on-grounds emergencies, as well as setting up a temporary medical building to handle all minor emergencies.

The Madison County Emergency Medical District serves both the Jazz/Ribs Festival and Strawberry Festival annually. Not only do they provide Emergency Medical Services to the community, but they also hold an informational booth offering free health screening including blood pressures.

Heart attacks are the number one killer of firefighters and paramedics. The department made it a priority to stay in shape, therefore members of Madison County EMD formed the Madison County EMD Running Team.

The Running Team runs at various charitable running events in the Central Ohio area sporting their bright yellow shirts.

The running team is open to all Madison County EMD Personnel, as well as their family members.

The Madison County Emergency Medical District also serves the entire county during its annual fair.

The district staffs an office during fair hours, as well as making available a gator and medic for any situations that might arise. On location paramedics also carry pet oxygen masks for animal related emergencies.
